Prince Maximilian and Karl Bodmer Exhibit
Art Kiosk

Completed April 2013, our newest exhibit tells the story of the German Prince Maximilian and Swiss artist Karl Bodmer, two Europeans who traveled through the American frontier from 1832 to 1834 to document the lives of American Indians.

A contemporary collection of Karl Bodmer's aquatints - one of only four in the world - is also on display. Visitors can create and purchase their own souvenir aquatints in the new interactive art kiosk.
